Export Takeoff from Multiple Drawings (Flat and Structured View)

Overview

Export takeoff data from multiple drawings in either flat or structured format.

Flat view combines all takeoff items into a single list across every selected drawing.

Structured view organizes items by drawing name, grouping them under top-level Bundle lists so you can track takeoffs back to their original drawing.

Availability

  • Plan: All plans

  • Platform: All

Step-by-Step

  1. Select multiple drawings from your project list.

  2. Tap the export icon and choose Export Takeoff.

  3. Select your preferred view format:

    • Flat view — all takeoff items combined in one list

    • Structured view — takeoffs organized by drawing name

  4. Choose your export format (PDF, Excel, or CSV).

  5. Tap Export to generate your takeoff report.

Tips

  • Use Flat view when you need a comprehensive list of all materials across drawings — ideal for pricing, ordering, or handing off to a supplier.

  • Use Structured view when you need to track takeoffs by specific area, phase, or drawing — it makes it easier to identify which drawing contains specific takeoff items.

  • Both formats include the same takeoff data — only the organization differs.

Troubleshooting

If the export fails, make sure all selected drawings contain takeoff data and that you have sufficient storage space. Large exports with many drawings may take longer to process — wait for the completion notification before trying again.
