Currency Settings

How to change ArcSite's default currency, what changing currency does and doesn't do, and limitations on per-customer or per-job currency.

Overview

By default, ArcSite uses USD ($) for pricing, takeoffs, and estimates. The default currency applies account-wide and affects how prices display in the User Site, the field app, proposals, and reports.

How to change the default currency

  1. Open the User Site and go to Advanced Settings > Currency, or jump directly to user.arcsiteapp.com/#/admin/currency.

  2. Choose your currency from the dropdown of supported currencies.

  3. Save. The change applies immediately across the account.

What changing currency does and doesn't do

  • Does: change the currency symbol displayed throughout the app and on output documents.

  • Doesn't: convert existing prices. If your products are priced at $100 USD and you change the currency to EUR, the prices stay numerically at 100 โ€” they just display as โ‚ฌ100. Update prices manually if you need actual currency conversion.

  • Doesn't: change the underlying tax or pricing logic. Currency is purely a display setting.

Per-customer or per-job currency

ArcSite uses one default currency per account. Per-customer or per-job currency overrides aren't currently supported. If you operate in multiple currencies, the typical approach is either to maintain prices in your primary currency and convert on the proposal manually, or to maintain separate accounts per region.
