Set and Manage Product Pricing

How to set and manage product pricing, markups, and margins in ArcSite's product catalog.

ArcSite's product pricing tools let you set and manage prices, markups, and margins for the products in your catalog โ€” ensuring your proposals always reflect accurate and up-to-date costs.

Pricing Fields Available Per Product

  • Unit cost โ€” Your base cost for the product.

  • Unit price โ€” The price charged to the customer.

  • Markup % โ€” Automatically calculates the unit price based on a percentage markup over cost.

  • Margin % โ€” Set the target margin and ArcSite will calculate the unit price accordingly.

How to Set Pricing on a Product

  1. Go to Settings > Products.

  2. Select the product you want to price.

  3. Enter the Unit Cost and/or Unit Price fields.

  4. Optionally set a Markup % or Margin % to have ArcSite calculate the price automatically.

  5. Save the product.

Pricing on Proposals

When a product is added to a proposal, its configured price is used by default. Prices can be adjusted per-proposal without changing the product catalog settings.

Notes

  • Pricing updates in the catalog apply to future proposals โ€” they do not retroactively change sent proposals.

  • Price visibility on proposals can be controlled via your proposal template settings.
