Photos can be a large factor in the size of ArcSite deliverables. As such there are several things you can to do to address this.
Toggle Off Live Photo Setting
Live Photos is an iOS camera feature that captures a 3-second moving image so the photos will look "live". The issue is that this feature can greatly increase the size of those photos.
Here's how to turn off Live Photos on an iOS:
Open the Camera app
Ensure the Camera is set to Photo mode
Tap the Live Photo button at the top of the screen until a slash appears through the button
A slash through the Live Photos button indicates that the feature is off.
To permanently keep Live Photos off, you can:
Go to Settings
Tap Camera > Preserve Settings
Ensure that the switch next to Live Photo is turned on
Reduce Photo Size Outside of ArcSite
Using the default iOS app Shortcuts, you can create a workflow that will reduce the size of photos significantly.
The difference is that you would take the photos with the iOS devices camera and then within ArcSite import them from the Photo Library.
Steps
We are going to use the default iOS app Shortcuts to reduce the size of the photos captured and then add them to ArcSite.
Tap to open the App called Shortcuts
Tap the Plus Sign (+) to create a new Shortcut
Search for the Option Resize Image from the search bar. Then tap to add it
Tap the "Image" button. In the pop-up, choose the "Shortcut Input" option
Search for "Save to Photo Album" action in the search bar tap to add the result.
Your finalized Shortcut you have created will look like the above.
Open The built-in iOS Camera app to take one to multiple photos.
After completing the photos, tap to open the built-in Photos app
Tap the Select button.
Tap each of the photos you want to resize. A blue checkmark will mark the ones you have chosen.
Tap the Export icon
Select the newly create Resize Photo shortcut from the Actions Menu.
Now back in ArcSite, when embedding a photo, choose the From Photo Library option to add your reduced sized photos.
