Why Can't I Log In?

An error message shows up when logging in.


There are a whole series of reasons why you might not be able to log into the app. There are a few reasons and possible solutions list below.

Login Error – Incorrect Credentials Message

A fairly standard dialog, this means either the email or the password entered is incorrect.

To solve:
You can request a new password from the same Sign-in screen.

Login Error – Incorrect Credentials Message

ArcSite needs an internet connection to log into an account.

To solve:
Ensure that you are connected either to a cellular or Wifi connection while logging into your account.

The “A server with the specified hostname could not be found” message

This seems to occur out in the field when switching between mobile networks

To solve:
Rebooting the device itself seems to fix this issue. The issue is deeper than ArcSite (the problem is in iOS itself) and the device needs to be restarted.

You Keep Getting Logged Off

Typically this is when a second person logs into the same account on another device

To solve:
There is no solution for this as an ArcSite account can only be used by one person at a time.
