Hidden Objects Make the Drawing Appear Tiny
If your export looks very small on the page, there is usually an object located far away from the main drawing. ArcSite includes that object when determining the export area.
How It Works
When even a small object exists elsewhere on the canvas, ArcSite expands the export boundaries to include it. This causes the main drawing to shrink to fit on the page.
Common Scenario
If you accidentally place a single line or text label on the opposite side of the canvas, the exported PDF will include that object and scale down the rest of the drawing.
How to Fix It
Open the drawing.
Use Box Select to select the entire drawing.
Zoom out and look for selected objects outside the main drawing.
Delete any unwanted objects.
Export the drawing again.
You can also export only what is currently visible on screen:
Tap Share > PDF.
Tap Settings.
Tap Export Area.
Select Visible Portion.
Export the PDF.
The Export Has Too Much Spacing or Cuts Off the Drawing
This usually means the selected scale does not fit the drawing on the chosen paper size.
How to Fix It
Try one or more of the following:
Choose Fit to Page.
Select a smaller Scale.
Choose a larger paper size, such as 11 ร 17.
Preview the PDF after each adjustment until the drawing fits correctly.
Text Sizes Do Not Match
Text may appear at different sizes if labels were added while zoomed in and out at different levels.
Prevent Text from Scaling Automatically
Tap Annotate > Color & Styles.
Turn off Automatic Text Height.
Resize Existing Text
Select the text you want to update.
Tap Color & Styles in the bottom toolbar.
Tap Text Height.
Enter the desired size.
Tips
Use Visible Portion when you only want to export part of a drawing.
Preview the PDF before sharing it.
Turn off Automatic Text Height if you want all future text to remain the same size.
