Method 1: Automatic Dimensions (For Lines & Walls)
Use this method to quickly add dimensions to existing elements via the contextual toolbar.
Tap Select on the toolbar.
Select the line or wall segments you want to measure. This brings up the contextual toolbar for that object.
Tap Add Dimensions on the contextual toolbar.
On iOS: This button is located in the center bottom toolbar.
On Android and Windows: This button is located in the lower-left toolbar.
The measurement will automatically appear between the two arrows on the selected object.
Method 2: Manual Measurement (Using the Measure Tool)
Use this method to measure between any two objects or points on your drawing, using the Measure Tool on the main toolbar.
Tap Measure Tool on the toolbar.
Select Distance.
Tap the starting point on your canvas.
Drag to the ending point or object.
The measurement will appear as a dimension line on your canvas.
If You Need to Adjust the Actual Length of Your Line/Wall
Methods 1 and 2 add a labeled measurement on top of your drawing. If you instead need to adjust the actual length or angle of your line or wall, use the Number Pad.
Draw a line or wall on the canvas, or select an existing one.
Tap the displayed dimension or angle.
Enter the precise measurement and tap the green checkmark to confirm.
An orange arrow next to the length shows which direction the edit applies (which side of the line will lengthen or shorten). Tap the Change Direction icon to flip it.
Tips
To measure every line or wall in your drawing simultaneously, select all objects first, then tap Add Dimensions.
You can adjust dimensions after adding them by selecting the dimension line and modifying the properties in the side panel.
Use the Number Pad when you need to adjust the actual length or angle of a line/wall as you draw — Methods 1 and 2 label existing measurements rather than let you type a target value.
