How to add text to your canvas

Learn how to add plain text to your canvas and how to create a text call-out that is tied to an element on your canvas for more detail.

You can quickly and easily add text to your drawing using the Annotate tool located on your right-side canvas menu. Use this tool to add descriptions to areas or use the call-out option to link your text to a specific element.

Follow these steps for adding text to your drawing.

1. Tap the Annotate button on your right-side menu.

2. For simple text anywhere on your canvas, tap the Plain Text option.

3. Tap on your canvas where you want it to appear.

4. You'll then see the text box appear and you'll be able to type. Once finished, tap Done.

5. If you want to call out something on your canvas, use the text call-out option.

6. Tap on an entity where you want to create a call-out.

7. Drag out and away from where want the text to appear. Then add your text and tap Done.
