ArcSite for Auditing and Surveying

ArcSite combines a scaled visual plan, a photo record, and an itemized data export into a single site visit workflow. Place smart symbols as you walk the site โ€” when you're done, your deliverables are already built.

How It Works

1. Import and scale your site plan Open an existing PDF. Tap two points on a known dimension and enter the real-world distance. ArcSite scales the entire drawing from that one measurement. Video walkthrough โ€” UI may differ from current version

2. Place Products to document what you find As you walk the site, place ArcSite Products on the plan โ€” these are smart symbols that carry data: attributes, pricing, and unit conversions. For auditing and surveying, the key data is attributes: fields you define to capture condition, type, quantity, or any other site information. Each symbol placed is a located, documented record of what's there. Video walkthrough โ€” UI may differ from current version

3. Capture photos as attribute fields Photo capture is built into the Product itself. When a Product has a photo attribute, tap that field and the camera opens. The photo is stored with that specific instance on the plan โ€” no separate photo folder, no manual linking. You can also embed photos directly in the drawing. See [Using Photos in ArcSite] for details.

4. Export your deliverables Upload to your ArcSite cloud account or export directly from the app. You get a PDF of the visual plan and an Excel list of every Product placed, with all attribute data included. See [Uploading to ArcSite Cloud] and [Exporting from the App].

Common Scenarios

  • Equipment audit: Walk a building, place a Product for each unit, fill in condition attributes, snap a photo per unit. Export an Excel report with locations, conditions, and photos attached โ€” no second data-entry step.

  • Site survey for a proposal: Survey a property, place Products for each item type found, then export the scaled plan and item list directly to the next step in your workflow.
