Setting up eSignature

Learn how to enable eSignature to capture legally binding signatures.

ArcSite's eSignature feature allows you to collect legally binding signatures directly within your ArcSite projects. Whether you're managing contracts, agreements, or approvals, this feature streamlines the signing process, eliminating the need for paper-based signatures or external signature tools.

The eSignature tool is seamlessly integrated with existing Proposal templates, making it easy for you to start using it right away. Since the eSignature fields are pre-configured within these templates, all you need to do is enable the eSignature feature in your settings. Once activated, the signature fields will automatically appear in your proposals, ready to capture legally binding signatures without any additional setup. This streamlined approach allows you to focus on your projects while ensuring that your documents are signed quickly and securely.


Steps for setting up eSignature

Step 1. Navigate to your Settings Page and click Proposal Templates

Step 2. Toggle the switch to enable eSignature on digital Proposals

Step 3. Add Signature fields to your Proposal Template

If your Proposal template already had signature blocks then you are all set. Future Proposals will automatically have eSignature functionality enabled.

If you need to add Signature fields, click Create Template to create a new template.

Step 4. Click Add Block

Step 5. Click Signature

Red blocks indicate fields completed by eSignature functionality.

Select a block and click Add

When finished, click Publish to APP

This step ensures that your template is ready for use in creating and sending proposals with e-signature functionality.

Sending Proposals for E-Signature

  1. Create a Digital Proposal:

    • Open the drawing where the proposal is based.

    • Ensure that the Legacy Estimate Mode is turned off in the drawing settings (accessible via the gear icon).

  2. Send the Proposal:

    • Use the proposal creation and sending flow to deliver the proposal to the customer via email.

    • The customer will receive a link to review and sign the proposal electronically.

Adding eSign fields anywhere

The Paragraph Proposal Template block also supports adding eSign fields throughout your Proposal document.

Navigate to your template and click Add Block

Go to Paragraph and add.

In the Formatting Options, click Add eSignature

Collecting Customer Signatures and Initials

  • When the customer opens the proposal link, they will be prompted to sign and/or initial in the designated fields you set up in the template.

  • Once the customer completes the signing process, the signed proposal will be saved back into your ArcSite proposals for easy tracking and future reference.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

  • E-Signature Not Available: Verify that the e-signature feature is enabled in your account settings.

  • Customer Unable to Sign: Ensure that the proposal template includes a Signature block and that the email link was sent correctly.
