Drawing Walls

Steps

Tap the Wall icon (4th icon) from right side toolbar.

Select from the Wall Drawing modes and tap on the canvas where you want the wall to begin and then follow the method defined above for the various modes.

  • Continuous Lines - Draws connected straight (only) segments in any direction without lifting your finger.

  • Continuous Lines & Arcs - Draws connected lines AND arcs in a single, continuous stroke.

  • Line / Arc - Creates one segment at a time. Simply lift and tap to begin your next line or arc.

  • Rectangle - Creates squares or rectangles by dragging from one corner to the opposite.

Lock a Wall Segment length

To ensure a wall segment remains at a specific length:

  1. Tap on the current length measurement of a selected wall segment

  2. Type in a number and click the green arrow

  3. Note the lock symbol next to the measurement.

Change an Existing Wall’s Visual Display

With one or multiple existing wall segments,

  1. Tap Wall Color to specify outline and fill colors. Image below is from iOS. On Windows and Android, icon will be in lower left corner.

  2. Tap Wall Thickness icon to access wall thickness options. Once in the wall properties menu, you can set a default wall thickness by entering a positive value, such as 0.05 or higher. This value will apply to all newly drawn walls.

Set Default Wall Styles

To set the default Wall Color and Line Thickness, ensure no wall segments are currently selected first.

  1. Tap Wall Color to specify outline and fill colors. Image below is from iOS. On Windows and Android, icon will be in lower left corner.

  2. Tap Wall Thickness icon to access wall thickness options. Once in the wall properties menu, you can set a default wall thickness by entering a positive value, such as 0.05 or higher. This value will apply to all newly drawn walls.

Overriding the Center Snapped Connection Mode

Wall segments snap to the center each other. “Overriding” this option requires several steps.

  1. Create first wall segment

  2. Create a second connected wall segment

  3. Re-select first segment

  4. Tap on length measurement displayed and change length to correct length

For Example

  1. Using a 6″ thick wall, draw a 50 ft long wall segment

  2. Draw a connected segment

  3. Select first segment which would now show 50′ 6″

  4. Tap on length and change to 50′
