ArcSite Product Environment Overview
Updated over a week ago

In ArcSite, you will use what we call Products to capture information on your Products and Services. The Product Environment is made up of three possible components. Those are:

Products

Products are the only required component in your environment. They are used to define every product and service which you want to track in ArcSite.

Examples:

  • A helical pier

  • A type of turf product

  • An end post

  • A labor charge

  • A permit fee

Product Groups

A product group is a grouping of similar products that allows you to choose one from its member products when defining the overall object.

Example - You sell 4 different versions of a single product. When used in a bundle (defined below), putting all 4 versions of the Product into a single Product Group allows you to add the bundle to the diagram and then refine your answer with follow on questions about which version of the product you want to apply in this context.

Bundles

A bundle is a grouping of products and/or product groups that allows you to add a single object to the diagram but capture information about multiple products at once.

Example - A Chain Link corner post contains a number of different individual components (products). By creating a Corner Post bundle, you can drop on the canvas a single symbol ( we call them shapes) and the app knows to provide details on a series of products.

  • 2 3/8" Brace Band

  • 5/16" x 1 1/4" Carriage Bolts
