Summary:
You can have ArcSite automatically display cumulative length, area, and the total number of items selected of existing objects on the screen.
Steps:
Select one or more objects on canvas
You will see the total number of objects selected in the lower-left corner
Tap the Measure icon to toggle on and off the Cumulative Length and Area display.
