Overview
Managing scope creep is a constant challenge in construction and service projects. The Change Order feature in ArcSite allows you to formalize and track modifications to a project's scope after the original proposal has been signed.
Instead of duplicating proposals—which can lead to double-counting revenue and inaccurate reporting—Change Orders create a linked, legally binding document that records only the necessary adjustments. This ensures your project profitability remains transparent and your back-office reporting stays accurate.

Who Is This For?
This feature is essential for General Contractors, Fencing, Foundation Repair, and any trade where on-site conditions or customer requests frequently alter the original scope of work.
Key Benefits
Accurate Reporting: Prevents revenue duplication in your dashboard by treating the change as an adjustment rather than a new sale.
Risk Reduction: Provides a formal, signed document for new work, reducing disputes over unbilled changes.
Professional Workflow: distinct "Change Order" templates differentiate these documents from standard proposals, maintaining clear communication with your client.
How It Works
When you create a Change Order, ArcSite compares the current state of your drawing to the original proposal. It automatically calculates the Net Change (the difference in cost) and the Revised Contract Value (the new total).
You can then send a specific Change Order document to the client that highlights:
Revised Product List: What items were added or removed.
Net Change Amount: The specific cost of this adjustment.
Revised Payment Schedule: How the payment terms have been updated to account for the new total.
