How to Create and Edit Fence Products and Product Groups

Learn how to create and edit your fence products and groups, either on the user site and/or in Excel

Updated yesterday

Since products are the building blocks that will comprise your library's groups and bundles, you'll need a handful of products at minimum to get started. You can create and edit products in the user website, in our Excel sheet, or both!

Otherwise, watch the video below to learn how to create a new product in the user site or edit an existing one:

Pricing

As shown in the video above, you can add pricing to any applicable product in your environment. The video below goes into more detail on how to do this. Topics covered include:

  • Input vs. Calculated Price methods

  • How to update pricing in Excel

Product Groups

Once you've added some products, you'll be able to create product groups as needed. You may be wondering whether it's worth it to create product groups, or would like a better sense of how and when they are most effective. The video below will show you how to set up a new group--and offer some advice on how and when they are most useful in your bundles:

Importing via Excel

In addition to working in the user site, you can also create/edit products and product groups within our Excel spreadsheet and import those changes back to the website. Click here to access our complete guide to using the ArcSite product template sheet in Excel (this guide is not fence-specific).

If you want to see these steps specifically in a fence context, check out the video below, which walks through how you can populate and/or edit your products and groups and upload back to the site.

Once you've added products and any desired product groups, you are then ready to build bundles.
