How to Adjust Pricing, Tax, and Payment Options.

Once you've created a proposal in the field, you may need to make adjustments. Learn how to make edits to a live proposal via the app.

Summary

Both pricing and payment options can be adjusted when finalizing your Proposal in the app. Whether you need to add Taxes, offer discounts, show products as recommended but not priced, or display payment terms to your customer, that can all be done directly in the app before you send the proposal out.

Taxes

Creating Tax Options

  1. Log in, using an Administrator account, to the Tax Rates screen on the ArcSite User Site

  2. Click the Pencil icon in the center of the screen

  3. Define a label, tax percentage and click Add and then click Update

Using the Tax Rate feature in the app

  1. Within a drawing, tap on the first icon on the top right toolbar

  2. Tap on Takeoff & Estimate

  3. Tap on the bottom red bar “No taxes have been applied. Tap here to apply.”

Price Adjustments

Why Use

  • You want to provide a discount for the overall project

  • You want to markup and/or discount one or more individual products or services

Using Price Adjustments options in the app

  1. Within a drawing, tap on the first icon on the top right toolbar

  2. Tap on Takeoff & Estimate

Line Item Price Adjustment

  1. Tap on the (…) icon to the right of the line item row

  2. Tap Adjust Price

  3. From there you can add a percentage or amount discount or markup

The changes will appear in the summary screen, however, only a discount shows on the outputted Proposal. No Markups show up on the customer proposal.

Project level Price Adjustment

  1. Tap on the Adjust button at the lower right corner of the Summary screen

  2. From there you can add a percentage or amount discount/markup for the overall project

The change will appear in the subtotal section of the summary screen and on the outputted Proposal.

Recommended but Not Included Pricing

There are several reasons why your potential clients will request a subset of the work you recommend.

There is one easy way to indicate that there were products and services that you suggested, that did not end up on the priced proposal.

You can leave those “not added to the price” items on the proposal and have them clearly indicated as such. You can even have the client initial that section to prove they explicitly chose not to have the work done.

Deposit and Payment Options

Why Use:

  1. You take deposits and/or have specific required deposit amounts

  2. You allow for one or more payment options like ( 1/2 and 1/2, 1/3rds, etc.)

Creating Deposit and Payment Options

  1. Log in, using an Administrator account, to the Payment Options screen on the ArcSite User Site

  2. Click the Pencil icon in the center of the screen

  3. Define Deposit by toggling on option and typing in the preferred deposit rate. Note - the end user can choose this preferred or overwrite it

  4. Define Payment Options by tapping on the Add Payment Options button

  5. Choose a Ratio of Percentage or Fraction

  1. Within a drawing, tap on the first icon on the top right toolbar

  2. Tap on Takeoff & Estimate

  3. Tap on the Payment tab

  4. Toggle on the overall option

  5. Make choices
